愛の逃亡者(74年海外録音・全篇英語版)については、なかなかネットでもうわさを聞かなかったのですが、なんとなく良さそうな印象を受けていました。
雑誌の特集か何かで見かけたと思うのですが、タイトル忘れてしまいました^^;

先ほどそれとなく覗いて見てみるとやっと愛の逃亡者(74年海外録音・全篇英語版)についてのレビューが付いていました。

"Can you understand...Candy?"
A real oddity, at least when Julie sings about growing up as a teenager up in 50s America! (Strangely, you believe him as you do his melodramatic, epic singles in 70s.) To appreciate Julie's phonetic English on this album, requires one to listen with non-English speaker's ears. He probably sings the way Japanese hear English Rock'n'Roll: words are just part of the sound design; vocal expressions are as abstract as a guitarist's riffs. What matter most are the energy, attitude, and emotional intensity -- which Sawada has in abundance. (If there's such a thing as "Rock'n'Roll Soul", this guy's got it.) Pity his ferocity is dimmed by a calculated, chart-friendly arrangement like those smothering the Tigers. What he needs is a muscular sound by any of his backing bands, or the rugged sound he now produces himself. So don't let this Watanabe Pro-funded Occidentalism fool you: 70s Sawada is still raw talent looking to external inspiration, far from the self-referential virtuoso he now is.

と、あるので買い換えるにはお手ごろだなと思いました。
たまには、レビュー見ずに自分で試したいのですが、安月給ではそうも行きません^^;
